Drop an image in a folder and get back its discrete objects as separate layers.

v1 is frozen deliberately narrow — discrete objects resting on a surface, via SAM2 automatic mask generation. A newer segmentation model was evaluated against the same fixtures, found masks, and emitted zero usable layers, so that path was closed rather than tuned. Recording the negative result is what stops it being reopened every few months.
